Upper Deck Announces Surprise in 06-07 NBA Chronology

From Upperdeck.com:

Exclusive Spokesman and Rookie of the Year Frontrunner Kevin Durant Will Sign Chronology Exchange Cards

Carlsbad, CA – (November 20, 2007) – The debut of Chronology Basketball this summer had collectors buzzing over unique cut autograph cards of players like Pete Maravich and basketball’s inventor, James Naismith. It has the hobby buzzing again with the announcement that Upper Deck will have Kevin Durant sign his draft pick exchange cards in the set.

The draft pick letterman patch cards were completed earlier this month and had begun shipping to collectors recently. Those waiting on the Durant cards will have a special surprise when they receive them in December as he will be adding his signature to the letterman patch cards when he signs next week. There are three different versions he will be signing and they are the blue base version numbered to 250, the silver version numbered to 50 and the gold version numbered to 10.

“Durant’s Upper Deck rookie autograph cards have been by far the most sought after this season, said Bill Beaman, Upper Deck’s NBA Product Manager. “The excitement he is creating on the court and in the hobby has been amazing. We hope that by having these cards autographed for collectors, it will help to create even more buzz in the hobby. It’s a nice way to thank the collectors who believed in him from the beginning by acquiring these exchange cards when this set came out.
