When entertainment card manufacturer Inkworks went out of business, several television licenses were left in limbo. Smallville, the alternate universe story of the boy who would become Superman, was one of the most popular with collectors. 2012 Cryptozoic Smallville Seasons 7-10 picks up where Inkworks left off. The 85-card base set covers the developments of the final four seasons, providing a nice bookend for the show's six previous sets. Boxes promise both an autograph and a costume card. Highlights on the autograph checklist include John Schneider, Cassidy Freeman, Callum Blue and Torrie Spelling. Margot Kidder and Dean Cain, two other signers for the set, may be more recognizable for their roles in other Superman projects. Kidder played Lois Lane in the Superman films starring Christopher Reeve. Cain played Clark Kent in TV's Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. The set is capped by two nine-card insert sets.
