The 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee set contained 231 standard size color cards issued in 2 series of 132 and 99 cards. The cards were originally sold in 10-cent wax packs. The bilingual backs contain the player's 1968-69 and career statistics, a short biography, and a cartoon-illustrated fact about the player. The cards were printed in Canada with the Topps Gum copyright appearing on the reverse. Many players poses in this set were different from the corresponding Topps cards. Card #193, Gordie Howe "Mr. Hockey" can be found either numbered or unnumbered. Stamps inserted in wax packs could be placed on the back of the corresponding players' regular issue cards in the space provided. A card with the stamp on the back is considered to be worth less than one without the stamp. Rookie cards in this set include Tony Esposito and Serge Savard.
