Those were the words that Mark Rosewater used to describe the Commander's Arsenal at the 2012 Comic Con announcement. The unprecidented demand for a new Commander series to be brought out each year caught Wizards of the Coast off guard and so, in the lead up to Commander (informally known as EDH or Elder Dragon Herald) as a yearly product release they bring you The Commander's Arsenal!

Commander's Arsenal includes:
- 18 premium foil cards (some that have never been foiled before, some with new art)
- 10 oversized premium foil cards
- 120 Ultra Pro foil card sleeves
- 20 double-sided Battle Marks (+ and -)
- A life counter that goes up to 99
