Ultra X-Men Premiere Box (1994 Fleer)

Combining painted art and several styles of chase cards, the premium set remains a standout today.
The base set is fairly large, especially by today's standards, at 150 cards. While much of the set focuses on characters, there are also subsets for classic story lines, epic battles and bitter rivals. The release has art from a massive lineup of artists. Among them are Earl Norem, Julie Bell, John Romita Sr, Greg and Tim Hildebrandt, Dan Brereton and Erik Larsen. Card fronts highlight their work, offering very little in the way of additional graphics. A corner is cut off to act as a nameplate, which has both the set's logo and the character's name in gold foil.
