Highlights of the game for the A's started in the 2nd inning when Hatteberg homered to right field. In the 3rd Byrnes hit a doubl to left sending Scutaro to score. In the 7th Chavez singled to left center sending Kotsay to score. The Yankees highlights started in the 2nd when Sheffield hit a solo home run to left field off of Zito. In the 6th Giambi also homered to right field off of Zito. Rodriguez homered to center field to tie the game in the top of the 9th. Clark hit double to deep left center sending Posada score and take the lead. The Yankee pitching staff was able to hold the lead for the win.
