Highlight of the game was Loaiza became the fifth 20-game winner in the majors. Highlights for the White Sox started in the 6th inning when Thomas hit a double to right center field sending Lee to score. Everett hit a double to left field allwoing Thomas to score and advanced Ordonez to third. Valentin hit a home run to right field with Ordonez and Everett on base. Harris hit a single to center allowing Crede score and advanced Olivo to third. Lee hit a double to left sending Olivo and Harris to score. The White Sox tied their club record in the 6th inning for most runs scored in one inning. Highlights for the Yankees started in the 2nd when Giambi homered to left field and Williams homering to right field with Posada on base in the 2nd inning.
