Highlights for the game included Everett's second hit of the night was the 1,000th of his career. Crede hit his 13th home run in the 3rd innining for the White Sox. Alex Rodriguez hit his 33rd homer and added a tiebreaking two-run triple in the seventh inning as the Rangers completed a three-game sweep of the White Sox. With the game tied at 4, the Rangers put runners at first and second in the seventh on singles by Einar Diaz and Donnie Sadler. Rodriguez then hit a sinking line drive to center field off Damaso Marte that got past a diving Carl Everett and rolled to the warning track as both runners scored.
