On Thursday July 19th as part of our Week of Stars at our Sheridan store location was Major League Baseball Hall of Fame great Dave Winfield. Dave's incredible career lasted almost 20 years as a player and since his enshrinement in the Hall of Fame in 2001 he continues today as one of the most recognizable faces of Major League Baseball as an executive, analyst and TV personality. Some of his career highlights include 12 All Star appearances, 7 gold gloves, 6 silver slugger awards and winning the 2002 World Series with the Blue Jays. Dave made headlines in 1981 signing the a record setting free agent contract with the New York Yankees making him the highest paid player in the game.
