It’s MVP Monday time. There’s no better start to the week than highlighting a member of our Dave and Adam’s family! Today our MVP is Antonino LaGambina, a member of our product development team. If you work at Dave and Adam’s you probably know him as Nino!
Nino started with the company back in January of 2021. Before Dave and Adam’s, he previously worked as an auto service associate at Geico! As always, we sat down with our MVP and asked him a few questions about his time here.
What are your interests outside of work?
Nino: “My interests are mostly entertainment based. I like comic books, movies, and literature. I also enjoy playing ice hockey and I’m currently learning how to play the guitar.”
Entertainment, sports and music, WOW! I guess you can say Nino is pretty well versed. Believe it or not, Nino played college hockey at Medaille College in Buffalo, NY. As you may know, the majority of Nino’s interests align with our products here at Dave and Adam’s, which probably explains why working here is such a great fit for our MVP!
What attracted you to work for DA/HP?
Nino: “I am a die hard sports fan, as well as a lover of sports cards, so I was easily attracted to DA”
As we said before, loving sports makes it easy for anyone who works for our company, especially Nino. For us, it’s important to stay alert for what’s happening in the sports world because of how much it affects many of the products we sell.
Do you have any collections of your own?
Nino: “I have a hockey card collection”
We’ve definitely talked about this before, but so many of the people who work for our company are collectors too, just like Nino. We can’t stress enough how much this helps us relate to the many people we are trying to serve with our products. One of our main goals as a company will always be to continue to grow the Hobby and when we have collectors who work for us it makes it that much easier.
What has been your biggest challenge here, and what did you do to solve it on your own?
Nino: “My biggest challenge here was absorbing and learning information about the many different products we release. It was hard to pick it up fast, but I did my best to learn about certain products and teach myself their worth.”
The card world is incredibly diverse and it takes a lot of learning to become an expert in the industry. Nino was able to quickly learn about our products and add value where we needed it here at Dave and Adam’s right from the start. We pride ourselves on having some of the best, most knowledgeable experts in the industry and we are truly lucky for that.
Thank you for chatting with us, Nino. We hope you enjoyed learning more about this week’s MVP! Join us next week when we highlight a new member of the Dave and Adam’s family.
