2016 Topps High Tek Baseball preview

Topps High Tek Baseball has been a huge hit since its return to the hobby in 2014. 2016 Topps High Tek Baseball will deliver more of the same content that fans enjoy, including one on-card autograph and one base card parallel per box.

Base cards and their numerous parallels and variations are the main focus of High Tek. Pattern 1 base cards have five levels of parallels : Tidal Diffractor, Green Rainbow (#’d), Orange Magma (#’d to 25), Black Rainbow (#’d 1/1) and Black Galactic Diffractor (#’d 1/1) plus one-of-one printing plates. Additional cards to chase will be pattern variations and home uniform short prints. Home uniform cards will be numbered this year.

Bright Horizons inserts cards return for 2016 High Tek featuring top young MLB stars and rookies backdropped by the skyline of the city they play in. Highlights inserts are new for this year, which document impressive career accomplishments of MLB veteran and retired greats of the game. Both insert sets are numbered and have autograph variations available.

High Tek autographs feature hard-signed cards of current and former stars. There are four levels of numbered parallels: Gold Rainbow, Orange Magma Diffractor (#’d to 25), Red Orbit Diffractor (#’d to 5) and Black Galactic Diffractor (#’d 1/1) plus one-of-one printing plates. Topps also inserted autographed buybacks of Diffractor parallels and inserts from Topps Tek cards from 1998-2000.
