Topps rolls out its third edition of Major League Soccer cards this March. 2015 Topps Major League Soccer features new insert cards and subsets along with the guarantee of one autograph relic, two autograph and two relic cards per box.
The base card set is made up of 200 cards, including players from the expansion Orlando and New York City FC teams. Topps will also highlight 2014 MLS All-Stars, stadiums from around the league and the top 24 players in the league under the age of 24. Base cards will also have five levels of parallels: Purple (Seq #’d), Gold (#’d to 25), Black (#’d to 10), Red (#’d 1/1) and hobby exclusive Printing Plates (#’d 1/1).
Base Autograph cards include a player signature and have three levels of parallels. Gold parallels are numbered to 25, Black parallels numbered to ten and hobby exclusive Red parallels are numbered 1/1. MLS Personalities feature signatures from celebrities and other notable figures in the MLS community.
Presence of Pitch highlights MLS stars with special photography focusing on player emotions. There are both regular and autograph versions of these insert cards. There are 1/1 Red parallels of the autograph cards that are exclusive to hobby boxes. Topps has also created Admired Alumni Autograph cards to commemorate the top players in MLS history. This set will be featured in all Topps MLS releases this year.
Autograph Relic cards will have a sticker play signature along with a swatch of jersey. Kits of the Game are jersey cards with pieces of game-used uniforms. Both sets have three levels of parallels numbered to 25 or less plus one-of-one Printing Plates that are only found in hobby boxes.
