The Topps Triple Threads brand is known for delivering sharp looking memorabilia cards with multiple jersey and patch swatches plus unique relic pieces. Topps keeps up the tradition with the 2014 release of Triple Threads Football. Each master box comes with two miniboxes. Miniboxes will contain one of two different configurations of cards. The first has one Triple Relic card sequentially numbered to 36 or less, one Triple Threads Rookie Autograph Relic numbered to 150 or less, two Base Parallel Cards sequentially numbered to 320 or less and three Base Cards sequentially numbered to 930 or less. The second has one Autograph Triple Relic card sequentially numbered 99 or less, one Triple Threads Rookie Jumbo Relic numbered 150 or less, one Base Parallel Cards sequentially numbered to 320 or less and three Base Cards sequentially numbered to 930 or less.
There are a total of 100 different base cards numbered to 930 or less plus six levels of parallels numbered to 299 or less and one-of-one Printing Plates.
Base Rookie Auto Relics are the basic version of a signed memorabilia card in Triple Threads Football, but you still get a patch piece and two jersey swatches. Regular versions are numbered to 99 with five levels of parallels. There are also two styles of foil parallels, Onyx and Pigskin, that come with a patch piece and a combination of two other equipment relics (either glove, sock, football, hat or more patches). Onyx and Pigskin Foil parallels are all numbered one-of-one. Look for “White Whale” patch printing plates that are one-of-ones as well.
There is large variety of additional auto relic cards. Triple Threads Auto Relics feature the unique die-cut swatches that are typically seen in Triple Threads releases and are numbered to 18. Parallel versions include: Gold (#’d to 9), Sapphire (#’d to 3), Onyx Patch (#’d 1/1), Pigskin Patch (#’d 1/1) and “White Whale” Patch Printing Plates (#’d 1/1).
Triple Threads Jumbo Plus Auto Relics contain a jumbo-sized jersey swatch plus two patch pieces and are numbered to just three. Letter Plus versions come with two patches and one letter patch. Look for one-of-one Onyx parallel versions of both Jumbo Plus and Letter Plus cards.
Multi-player cards include Auto Relic Pairs that come with two player signatures, two jersey swatches and one patch piece. Auto Relic Trios highlight players from different eras. Auto Relic Double Combos feature signatures and memorabilia from six different players on the same card.
Triple Threads Rookie Autograph Relics contain just a single jersey swatch and come numbered to 99. There are five levels of parallels numbered to 75 or less.
Topps also has a pair of unique autograph cards that are exclusive to Triple Threads. Triple Threads Transparencies fall one per case and feature rookie signature on a jumbo-sized piece of acetate. There are numbered to 65 plus there are Emerald parallels numbered to 30 and one-of-one Onyx parallels. Hand-Stamped Autograph Cards are jumbo-sized cards numbered to 25 with a hand print stamp and an on-card signature.
Strictly relic cards are also plentiful and have similar formats to their autographed counterparts. Relics have a patch piece and two jersey swatches while Relic Trios take swatches from three different players. Both sets are numbered to 36 and have five levels of parallels numbered to 27 or less. Rookie Jumbo Relics contain a jumbo-sized swatch from a first-year player. Basic versions are numbered to 99 with five levels of parallel numbered to 75 or less.
NFL Shields contain a jersey shield patch plus two other relic pieces and are numbered one-of-one. Jumbo Patch Combos are one-of-one book cards with jumbo multi-color patches from three different players.
