Last Week in the Lounge – October 14

Welcome to Last Week in the Lounge, this is a weekly blog entry from everyone’s favorite DACW Live Box Breaker, Alex. I will bring you all the big hits from the week that was.

The Lounge was jam-packed with personal breaks box and case breaks which yielded some absolutely amazing hits!

Lets start with probably the biggest hit of the week, a 1/10 Aaron Ekblad Rookie Patch Auto from 14/15 Upper Deck Cup Hockey. Let us all take a moment and be jealous of him; as an 18 year old he is playing professional hockey in Florida at a high enough level to win the Calder Trophy (Rookie of the Year). Even as a defenseman his cards have been huge in the hobby. The sky is the limit for Ekblad and this card will no doubt only increase in value. We have a case break of Cup this week! Grab a spot!

Also hit in the lounge was a fantastic 2012/13 Anthony Davis Elite Inscriptions Rookie Auto. Our buddy Chad has been looking for this card for quite a bit in his quest to put together a master set of the product. Pulling the card from the pack always feels better than buying it as a single.

Here in the lounge we’re always looking for Kris Bryant autograph cards. What if I told you one of our breakers got one for free? That’s right we pulled one in a free gift pack of 2013 Panini USA Champions Baseball. We would highly recommend choosing those as your free gift option.

In the lounge, we have seen a growing number of soccer break requests and 2015 Topps Apex has been a popular selection amongst them. This might be the best hit we have pulled out of any of it! A one of one Clint Dempsey/Michael Bradley dual jumbo relic card! Both star on the US National Men’s team and it is easily one of the coolest cards we have pulled here in the lounge lately. We have a case break of Apex up right now

And now to go over my favorite pull from the week and it is not even close. The 1/1 Buyback David Robinson autograph was pulled from 2013/14 Upper Deck Fleer Retro but the card is from 1996/97 Skybox. Bask in its beauty.
