Around here, box breaks are kind of a big deal, and we offer three different ways to get in on the action: individual, group, and random team breaks. Everything is streamed live, encouraging participants to interact during the break. And when a great card gets pulled, we can’t help but get excited ourselves. That’s the beauty of box breaks – you never know what you’ll get and you can’t help but feel a little adrenaline rush every time there’s a pull.
We’ve had some pretty awesome, rare, and valuable cards come out of our box breaks over the years, and we couldn’t possibly name them all. But in an attempt to relive some of the most magic moments in box break history, we’ve compiled a list of the best pulls ever from our Live Box Breaks. Read about each of them below, or check out our sweet video montage to see all the best moments in one action-packed reel!
Carlos Santana made his MLB debut with the Cleveland Indians in 2010. His second major league hit (ever) was a home run, not too shabby. Three years later, this pull of a 9/25 auto jersey patch card was a nice hit too. This break uncovered a handful of gems as well!
Nothing is more exciting in the world of box breaks than a 1/1 hit. This one of a kind card features the stick nameplate card of a recent hall of fame inductee, “The Russian Rocket”, Pavel Bure. Enjoy this one, Thad.
This break couldn’t have had bigger hits! An all-around elite break featuring the biggest names in sports. Position 3 of the hot box was opened last, and rightfully so. Out came a 97/98 Michael Jordan game-used jersey. Box Break Brian saved the best for last. Congrats to Drew on a great pull.
After his performance in the 2014 NBA playoffs, Damian Lillard is earning top 5 point guard consideration. Mark didn’t just get one Lillard card, nor did he get two; he got three. Rookie Jersey, Rookie Jumbo Jersey, and a Rookie Jersey Patch Auto.
Angela took Green Bay with the second pick in the draft and it worked out pretty well for her. The 2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year was the star of this hit; a double autograph jumbo nickname booklet.
Dale Murphy spent 15 of his 18 career years with the Atlanta Braves, and is well-regarded as one of baseball’s greatest. What’s greater than the greatest? Being 1/1, like this card. Solid pull.
2012 first overall pick and 2014 NBA All-Star Anthony Davis is on his way to leaving his mark on the association’s history. I’m sure Vincent would have been satisfied being the recipient of one Anthony Davis autograph rookie card. The good news is, he received not one, not two, but THREE.
8) 2013/14 Panini Dominion Hockey Nathan MacKinnon Autograph Patch Card, 2013/14 Panini Dominion Hockey Nail Yakapov Rookie Autograph Patch Card, 2013/14 Panini Dominion Hockey Brendan Gallagher Rookie Autograph Patch Card. 2x Alex Ovechkin Autographs, 1 Patch Autograph and 1 Booklet Autograph
This break held some big hits including a Nathan Mackinnon auto patch, rookie auto patches from Nail Yakapov and Brendan Gallagher, and of course, two Alex Ovechkin auto’s (a patch and a booklet). MacKinnon, Takapov, and Gallagher were all great hits, but what’s better than two autographed cards from the best scorer in hockey? Talk about a loaded break.
Brett Hull is one of the greatest hockey players of all time and many believe Wayne Gretsky to be the greatest competitor in any sport of all-time. This Dual Scripted Sticks Autograph Card withheld both players! Sweet hit for Michael.
The rising star, Robert Griffin III, is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL. As a part of this 2012 Upper Deck Exquisite Football Case Break, the first box revealed the 10th and final RG3 alumni pride autograph card.
The highlights from a high-value case featured Hot Prospects Nathan Mackinnon and Aleksander Barkov. Awesome hits for both Andrew and Stratos, who made the big move before the break by acquiring Florida in a trade for Pittsburgh.
Arguably the hottest name in baseball, Mike Trout, has covered quite a bit of ground in the MLB since his debut in 2011. Russell got quite the pull on this break from Asia; a Mike Trout autograph patch card. What makes this hit even better? Only one was made.
In this 2014 Heroes of Sport Iconic Heroes Case Break, Casey lucked out with DACW’s final case, #57 of 100. Air Jordan shoes hold enough value in today’s society as it is. How about a pair used and signed by the best basketball player of all-time, Michael Jordan himself?
