One interception changed Malcolm Butler from an undrafted free agent from Division-II West Alabama to a Super Bowl hero. Butler’s goal line interception of Russell Wilson with 20 seconds left in Super Bowl 49 secured a fourth win in the big game for the New England Patriots, and turned Butler into the NFL’s newest star. Since Butler joined the Pats as an undrafted free agent he never had rookie cards produced in any 2014 football products, until now. Panini announced on Wednesday that Butler has been added to the checklist for 2014 National Treasures Football, which will be released later this year.
Butler’s picture shows him making the memorable play in the dying seconds of Super Bowl 49 and it is also mentioned on the back of the card. Stay tuned for information about 2014 Panini National Treasures Football in the coming weeks.
