2015 Panini Contenders Draft Picks Basketball preview

Panini brings its college licenses to the hardwood for its first basketball collegiate release, 2015 Panini Contenders Draft Picks Basketball. Much like 2015 Contenders Draft Picks Football this product gives the Contenders ticket treatment to 2015 rookies as well as NBA veterans wearing their college uniforms. Boxes will come with five autographs cards.

The 200-card base set will be split evenly between 100 College Tickets featuring members of the 2015 NBA rookie class, and 100 Season Tickets that showcase NBA veterans in their respective college team’s colors. The checklist of rookies will include top picks, such as Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, Jahlil Okafor, Willie Cauley-Stein and Justise Winslow.

College Ticket subjects have five different versions of autographs cards in Contenders Draft Picks, including Draft Ticket, Playoff Ticket, Championship Ticket and Cracked Ice Ticket parallels plus photo variations.

In addition to NBA rookies drafted from colleges there are foreign-born players featured on International Tickets. Panini has even included some top prospects from the 2015 WNBA Draft, including Brittany Boyd.

Look for signed and unsigned versions of insert cards, including School Colors, Old School Colors and Class Reunion.

Collegiate Connections are dual-player cards that feature pairs of players that went to the same school. Signed versions contain autographs from both players.
