Panini National Treasures Basketball just seems to get better and better every year. With its distinctive design, excellent autograph checklist and some of the best relic hits out of any product, it has become a must open product for hoops collectors. 2015-16 Panini National Treasures Basketball continues the tradition with eight autograph or memorabilia hits per box plus one printing plate and a base card or base parallel.
The set that generates the most excitement for NT Basketball releases are the rookie patch autos. This year’s product should generate a lot of buzz with Kristaps Porzingis and Karl-Anthony Town leading this year’s rookie class. Base versions are numbered out of 99 or 49 with four levels of parallels: Silver (#’d to 25), Gold (#’d to 10), Emerald (#’d to 5) and NBA Logoman patch (#’d 1/1).
2015-16 National Treasures has an international feel as well with USA Basketball jersey autos as well as International Treasures autographs that highlight players born outside the United States.
A new type of relic in NT Basketball are letter patches from jerseys worn during the NBA Finals. That means we will see letter patch cards from members of the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, which could include Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Matthew Dellavedova (checklist is TBA). Additional relic hits will feature jersey patches, veteran NBA Logomen patches and laundry tags.
