Cards Matter – Bear Taliferro Jr.

Our company began as a small card shop based in Western New York over 30 years ago. During this time, we have proudly established our place within the hobby as one of the largest trading card retailers in the world.

We have also learned how tight the collecting community is and what a family it has become. The hobby has taken Dave and Adam’s to places we could have never dreamed of within the industry. With our hobby reaching such incredible heights, we wanted to find a new way to help give back to the community that has given us so much.  That’s why we created Cards Matter.

Cards Matter is our initiative to help show support to the family members within the hobby at the times when they need it the most.

In this series, you will hear stories of individuals within the hobby that have struggled with adversity in some way. Cards matter was created to bring positivity to those individuals and to truly show the support that surrounds them within this great community. We all have so many different reasons for what the hobby means to us. But there are two words that truly unite all collectors….Cards Matter.

This second episode of the series highlights hobby family member, Bear Taliferro Jr. The son of a former professional football player, Bear has been involved in the hobby from a young age. From getting his first card signed by Jerry Rice at the Rose Bowl to waiting outside the player’s tunnels at games getting any signature he could. Bear found a family in the hobby at Mike’s Stadium Sportscards in Aurora, Colorado. This episode touches on his journey within the hobby so far an how it has brought comfort in his current family situation.
