36 packs per box, 15 cards per pack
The 1984 Topps football card set contains 396 standard-size cards. Card photos are bordered in different colors depending on the player's team. The team logo and team name are at the bottom with the player's name in a red bar at the top. Horizontally designed green tinted backs have yearly statistics, highlights and a cartoon. Subsets include Record Breakers (1-6), playoffs (7-9) and league leaders (202-207). Team Leader (TL) cards primarily feature the team's rushing leader. The backs contain team scoring information from the previous year. Instant Replay (IR) cards of top players are scattered throughout the set. Cards are numbered and alphabetically arranged within teams except for the Colts which moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis. The set features the Rookie Cards of Morten Andersen, Roger Craig, Eric Dickerson, John Elway, Willie Gault, Darrell Green, Rickey Jackson, Dave Krieg, Howie Long, Dan Marino, Andre Tippett and Curt Warner.
Please Note: As was the common practice by Topps in the eighties to mark factory returns, this box might have a distinct x-mark on the box cover. For that reason the box top and bottom might have stuck to the other boxes in the case and might be a little torn. The packs, however, are in mint condition and guaranteed untampered and unsearched.
