Piazza homered to left field with Perez on base. Highlights for the Marlins started in the 2nd inning when Wilson singled to left allowing Lee to score and Wilson scoring on a throwing error by the second baseman. Castillo hit a single to center field sending Johnson to score. Floyd doubled to deep center field allowing Lowell to score.
