Scars of Mirrodin, released on October 4th 2010, represents the large set of the great Scars of Mirrodin block. It returns to the plane of Mirrodin from the 2003-2004 block release. The set concerns itself with a war between the native Mirrodin and the Phyrexia.
The set focuses heavily on Artifact cards as well as introducing the highly controversial Infect mechanic which combine the effects of Poison counters and Wither for devastating results. Mechanics and tribes featured in the original Mirrodin block also make appearances.
Check out some of the amazing cards that appear in this set like Gideon Jura, Mimic Vat, Koth the Hammer, Sunblast Angel, Elspeth Tirel, and the utterly terrifying Ratchet Bomb.
