This was the first Star Wars trading card series that Topps had released since the Return of the Jedi sets, a 10-year hiatus! However, everyone's favorite chewing gum company did not disappoint with this offering. The card fronts feature artwork by various artists, while the card backs feature production art, poster art, production photos, and informative text concerning the images on each card. There are a grand total of 365 base cards in between the three series, each containing various subsets and artwork by a considerable number of different artists. Some notable artist names include: Alec Guiness, Tim and Greg Hildebrandt, Jeffrey Jones, Joe Jusko, Jack Kirby, Ralph McQuarrie, Frank Miller, Jim Steranko, Boris Vallejo, and Mike Zeck.
