Upper Deck inks McDavid and other NHL Draft notes

Even though the top two picks were a mere formality the NHL Draft still generated a ton of excitement over the weekend. Highly touted prospect, Connor McDavid, was selected first overall by the Edmonton Oilers with Jack Eichel going second to the Buffalo Sabres.

Upper Deck was as the draft and they announced that they had signed McDavid to an exclusive trading card deal moments after he was selected. That means the only place to find autographed cards of McDavid will be in Upper Deck products. UD also revealed that the first live cards of McDavid will appear in 2015-16 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey in November, provided that he plays an NHL game in the 2015-16 season.
