2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball preview

Topps has released the first information for 2015 on one of its more unique sets. 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen Baseball will be released next April. It will once again mix the style and art of early baseball cards with the autographs and relics that come standard in today’s releases.

The base set features 300 cards made up of the current crop of veterans and rookies in MLB as well as retired legends of the game. Look for short-printed base cards that will be in one out four packs. There is also a limited run of base card variations that is exclusive to 50 players in the set. There are also three levels of parallels for 100 cards in the base set. Paper Framed Parallels will come sequentially numbered and look for one-of-one Black Paper Framed Parallels and Printing Plates.

Inside every pack of 2015 Gypsy Queen you will also find one mini card that is a smaller version of the base card. Fifty of these mini cards are also short-printed and can be only found in one out of every 24 packs. There are five levels of parallels for the mini cards. Silver and Red parallels are numbered sequentially, and Black parallel are numbered only to five. There are also Graphite Variation and Printing Plates that are numbered one-of-one.

Within every box of Gypsy Queen there is a hobby exclusive ten-card mini box. These mini boxes will be the only place to find one of the 100 mini-card variations and mini autograph cards that have signatures right on the card. The autograph cards are numbered sequentially out of ten.

You can also find normal-sized autograph cards with four levels of parallels that are sequentially numbered. There are also Autographed Relic cards that are sequentially numbered. Gold Parallel are numbered to 25, Red Patch Parallels are numbered to five and one-of-one black button parallels. There are two autograph cards in every box.

Boxes of 2015 Gypsy Queen will come with one relic card and one mini relic card. Both sets offer the same levels of Gold, Red and Black parallels that are found in the autographed relic cards. There is also a numbered collection of Jumbo Relic Cards.

There are four insert sets to find within Gypsy Baseball. Wall-Off Winners highlight walk-off victories from the 2014 season as well as historic walk-offs. Glove Stories feature images of amazing catches of baseball history. The Queen’s Throwbacks use black and white photos of current-day stars wearing throwback uniforms. Basics of Base Ball Minis are mini cards with hand-drawn sketches detailing the fundamentals of baseball. You can also find Basics of Base Ball MiniatureOriginals, which are the artist’s original sketches that hand numbered one-of-one.
