2014-15 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey preview

Upper Deck laces up the skates for the 25th year with 2014-15 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey, which is due out in early November. Boxes come packed with two jersey cards, six Young Guns and four UD Canvas cards.

2014-15 UD Hockey’s base set contains 200 cards. The base set is complimented by two levels of parallels: Exclusives (#’d to 100) and High Gloss (#’d to 10). Young Guns, an UD staple,  featuring top hockey prospects come in one out of every four packs.

Outside of the base set you’ll find 120 UD Canvas cards, 30 of which are rare rookies cards to come 1:48 packs. There are also hard-signed Jonathan Toews autographed Canvas cards that are numbered to 19.

Memorabilia cards include UD Game Jerseys inserted in 1 out of 13 packs. A Piece of History 500-Goal Club cards return this season along with the addition of 1000 Point Club cards. Both have sets have rare autographed parallels available.

Upper Deck has expanded on the Clear Cut line of die-cut insert cards with Clear Cut Captains that include a big “C” as part of the card to resemble the “C” worn of the jersey of an NHL team captain. Clear Cut Captains and Stoppers come numbered to 100 while Clear Cut Foundations come numbered to 25 and League Leaders numbered to ten. Look for more special insert cards, including Shining Stars, Day With The Cup, 2000’s Hockey Heroes and Hockey Heroes.
