For Magic the Gathering players in the Buffalo area, we invite you to come check out our gaming room for Friday Night Magic!
Details on Friday Night Magic at Dave and Adam’s:
- Our Friday Night Magic is a weekly DCI sanctioned Magic Tournament open to all starting as a Standard Format (Swiss Style), but will be open to different formats based on player desires.
- It happens every Friday night starting at 6PM and running until approximately 9:30PM, Sign up is from 5:30 to 6
- No entrance fee, free booster pack for all who attend, 1st and 2nd place win a special Foil Prize Card along with gift certificates to Dave and Adam’s, and additional Foil Prize Cards along with random promotional material handed out by raffle.
- Earn Planeswalker Points to increase your Planeswalker Level and earn Achievement Badges.
- A chance to be invited to the Friday Night Magic Championship held every year at Gen Con.
- Weekly winners will be invited to the Dave and Adam’s WNY Friday Night Magic Championship with over $1000 in prizes to be given out!
Rules:
- Constructed decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards. There is no maximum deck size; however, you must be able to shuffle your deck with no assistance. If a player wished to use a sideboard, it must contain exactly fifteen cards.
- With the exception of basic land cards, a player’s combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than four of any individual card, counted by it’s English card title equivalent. All cards named Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest are basic.

- Gatecrash (effective February 1, 2013)
- *There are no cards banned in Standard Tournaments
Wizards of the Coast has announced, starting in January 2013, the Modern format will now be sanctioned for Friday Night Magic play. Dave and Adam’s will be running a Modern night on the last Friday of January and every other month there after depending on the amount of local interest.
