Wizard World Cleveland Buying Recap

This past weekend, members of the Dave & Adam’s buying team setup at Wizard World Cleveland to buy and sell comic books, toys and video games. While we were setup at the show we had quite a few attendees bring us some great video games to check out and hopefully purchase. Here are some of the highlights that the team came away with, as always they will be up for sale on our website very shortly.

Our favorite thing purchased this weekend was the huge boxed Nintendo R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy) set. This box set includes the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), two games and the full robot R.O.B. It is one of our head video game buyer Tony Meyer’s personal favorite video game accessories of all time! Unfortunately there were only two games ever made for the R.O.B. before the plug was pulled, Gyromite and Stack-Up. Regardless the R.O.B. is now considered a very classic and collectible piece of video game history. Shortly after this purchase the team was presented with a brand new, factory sealed original Game Boy Pokemon Red Version from a long time collector. This collector had owned this particular copy of the game since they themselves were a kid and kept it sealed in amazing condition all of these years! The same collector brought back to our booth a little later a couple other sealed games along with a boxed complete copy of ChronoTrigger for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). This game is in excellent condition and includes all of the maps and inserts, this is such a tough game to find complete and let alone in good shape too! Besides theses few great finds the team was also able to purchase a stack of great TurboGrafx-16 games, Sega Dreamcast, Game Boy and SNES games including Wild Guns! This was such a great weekend in Cleveland meeting new customers and collectors alike and also being able to find some great video game gems.

Wizard World Cleveland was a great show to check out and buy from and the team met some amazing new customers and collectors alike! As mentioned previously all of the video games and systems pictured will be up for sale on our website and in our retail store in the near future. If there is anything you would like more information on please email Tony at t.meyer@dacardworld.com.
